Clarke County Standing Together Against Cancer donated more than $42,000 to the Baptist Anderson Cancer Patient Benevolence Fund. The fund provides qualifying Baptist Cancer Center-Anderson patients with financial assistance for transportation, prostheses, supplies, medical equipment and medication not covered by insurance.
“We extend our sincere appreciation to Clarke County Standing Together Against Cancer for their generous donation of $42,089.43 to the cancer patient benevolence fund,” said Kevin McLelland, manager of Baptist Cancer Center-Anderson. “This meaningful contribution, along with their continued and unwavering support, plays a vital role in enhancing the care and resources available to patients who are experiencing a financial hardship during their treatment.”
Clarke County Standing Together Against Cancer has been fundraising for the Baptist Anderson Cancer Patient Benevolence Fund since 2018. The recent donation is the group’s largest contribution to the fund.
