This year, we’re celebrating 40 years of helping others and changing lives through Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation. Together, we’ve nourished a foundation for caring, and I’m proud to lead an organization that gives so generously to support the communities we serve. As we begin our annual Above and Beyond Giving Campaign, I want to share more about how Baptist Foundation has made a positive impact on our community and team members.
Baptist Foundation supports our mission of healing, preaching and teaching in many ways, including funding hospital and community wellness initiatives, providing equipment for hospitals and assisting the homeless through our free clinic, Baptist Operation Outreach.
Last year, Baptist Foundation helped more than 1,000 Baptist Cancer Center patients and nearly 300 Baptist Memorial patients in the Memphis area who needed financial assistance for medication, home medical devices, transportation and other necessities. Because of your support, Baptist Foundation also helped nearly 200 Baptist team members throughout the system who received emergency assistance in 2022.
Baptist Foundation also helped fund education for future health care workers and provided professional development opportunities for Baptist nurses. Baptist Health Sciences University awarded more than 200 scholarships to students, and Friends of Nursing funded nursing education conferences, workshops and courses for several nurses.
The Baptist Centers for Good Grief provided more than 7,000 free counseling sessions, and the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House served hundreds of patients and families when they needed care and love the most — with several receiving financial assistance. All of this is possible because of the generous financial support given to Baptist Foundation.

You can direct your donation to the causes that mean the most to you by selecting the fund or entity you want to support. You may also choose how you want to give — a one-time payroll deduction, a recurring payroll deduction or a PTO donation.
If you’re a team member at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital or Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, please note those hospitals will host their own foundation campaigns, and you will have an opportunity to support them at that time.
