The Baptist Memorial Team Member Store is open! Team members can access and purchase Baptist Memorial branded items for personal use by clicking the banner on MyBaptist. Baptist Memorial’s leaders and team members can also order marketing and promotional materials for their departments using the new Marketing and Promotional Materials online portal, which is accessible via Baptist OneSource.
“These websites will do more than provide branded merchandise — they will help us build a shared identity and unify our teams,” said Baptist Memorial’s Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Ayoka Pond. “They will help foster a deeper connection to our organization, our mission and one another.”
Team Member Store
Items available for purchase from the team member store include bags, drinkware, gifts and outdoor items, golf accessories, headwear, technology tools and office gadgets.
Three system senior graphic designers in Baptist’s Corporate Communications department worked with Pond, other department leaders and Baptist’s promotional products vendor to design the sites, select the featured items and create graphics for the branded items. Sandy Barron, Gloria Cook and Richard Fudge each played an integral role in researching and identifying items to offer in the team member store. They also designed all of the marketing and printed collateral that is offered on the site.
“We tried to think of merchandise we would want to purchase as team members, and we sampled many items to approve quality,” said Barron. “I’m planning on getting the Baptist-branded golf balls for my husband, Gloria is eyeing the cork-bottomed stainless mug and Richard wants to try out the TerraTone wireless speaker. We hope everyone can find something they like!”
They worked for several months with the marketing portal’s vendor, Taylor Communications, to get the best items and brand-compliant imprints offered in both the team member store, which opened in June, and the marketing portal.
“Richard, Sandy and Gloria are the architects of these sites,” said Kimmie Vaulx, system director of Corporate Communications. “Not only did they help choose items, but they worked with our vendor to ensure Baptist’s brand standards are reflected in each and every item offered on these sites.”
The team member store will be updated seasonally, so team members can check back often to see what’s available or email marketing@BMHCC.org with ideas for items to offer in the store.
Marketing and Promotional Materials Online Portal
“One of the biggest advantages of the portal is that it can serve as a one-stop destination for ordering approved, Baptist-branded merchandise and marketing assets for promoting Baptist’s services,” Vaulx said. “Not only can you find approved promotional items with the Baptist Memorial logo, but team members across the system can order printed items, including regulatory signage, service line marketing and such branded materials as table cloths, flags and giveaway items as needed for community outreach, recruitment and more.”
The marketing portal is populated with items that have been regularly requested throughout the system and will be continuously updated with new materials as the Corporate Communications department develops them.
“Our vision is to work continuously with team members and marketing representatives throughout the system to learn more about the items they need and want to see on this site. We will work to keep the marketing portal populated with customizable items that our users need,” Vaulx said.
The portal offers marketing collateral and print materials, event and promotional items, free virtual meeting backgrounds and approved Baptist Memorial-branded merchandise.
All items can be selected, ordered and purchased through the Baptist OneSource (Oracle) punchout called “Taylor Marketing-Promo Punchout,” which streamlines the purchasing and approval process. To ensure brand consistency and to leverage collective purchasing power, all marketing and promotional items must be purchased exclusively through the Baptist OneSource punchout.
“We’re excited about all the continued support that this new program is receiving. Cooperation with this streamlined process will strengthen Baptist’s brand,” Vaulx said.
Users of the marketing portal can find contact information for the Taylor Customer Care team at the bottom of each page on the site. For questions about using the portal, contact marketing@BMHCC.org.
