First Horizon Foundation recently awarded $1 million to Baptist Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine. First Horizon and BHSU College of Osteopathic Medicine celebrated the donation during the unveiling of First Horizon Atrium, named in honor of the gift.
“We are grateful for this generous gift in support of Baptist Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine,” said Hampton Hopkins, Ed.D., president of Baptist Health Sciences University. “This investment will support more than a new building or construction project. It will advance access to patient-centered care and support the future of quality health care in the Mid-South.”
BHSU College of Osteopathic Medicine has earmarked the funds for capital and construction expenses.
“First Horizon Foundation is proud to support the advancement of higher education and quality health care in the Mid-South,” said Bryan Jordan, chairman, president and CEO of First Horizon. “Investing in health and wellness is integral to the quality of life and the long-term sustainability of our entire community.”
First Horizon Foundation’s gift will be paid over five years and is the single largest donation made to BHSU College of Osteopathic Medicine, which completed a $34 million building renovation project in the spring of 2024.
