Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi recently sponsored “Hearts & Hoops” during a University of Mississippi men’s basketball game on Wednesday, Feb. 11 to help promote heart health awareness.
Ole Miss Athletics recognized Dr. Mark Strong, a cardiologist with Baptist North Mississippi, and his patient David Witt during timeout in the first half of the game. Witt has made an exceptional recovery after experiencing issues stemming from congenital heart disease and receiving an aortic valve replacement and permanent pacemaker.
