Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City recently unveiled its new Providence Broadcasting System, funded by Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation’s Pastoral Care Endowment Fund. The technology will allow Baptist Union City to minister to patients and their families via select smart televisions throughout the hospital.
“October is Pastor Appreciation Month, so we thought it was only fitting to have Bro. Curtis McLendon preach the first sermon on our newly installed system,” said Chaplain Michael Dennison, director of Pastoral Care at Baptist Union City. “Chaplain McLendon has served Baptist Union City as a volunteer chaplain for 38 years. Daily, he strives to live out his faith and be an outstanding ambassador for the vision of Baptist.”
The Providence Broadcasting System includes four channels, featuring announcements, devotions, sermons and prayers from the hospital’s Providence Chapel, the “Jesus” film and scripture slides with music.
