Baptist participated in the Girl Scouts Heart of the South’s Totally Trefoil event on Saturday, Sept. 13 at Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi. The free event, attended by around 800 girls, was a celebration of Girl Scouts, as well as those not in Girl Scouts from kindergarten through 12th grade.
More than 200 Girl Scouts, who stopped by the Baptist booth, earned badges after completing the American Heart Association’s Family & Friends CPR Course.
Participants also received SHE (Science, Health, Empowerment) Leads the Way bags. SHE Leads the Way is a Baptist Health Sciences University HealthCORE initiative to promote science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields to middle school, high school and college students.
