Baptist Anderson Celebrates Baby-Friendly Hospital Redesignation

Baptist Anderson’s maternity services team gathered to celebrate the hospital’s redesignation as a Baby-Friendly Hospital with a taco-themed party. “This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional care and support for moms and babies from the very first moments of life,” said Robin Butler, nurse manager in the Newborn Intensive Care unit. “Being a Baby-Friendly Hospital means we follow evidence-based best practices that promote the healthiest start possible. We are honored to once again receive this designation and are incredibly proud of our staff for their dedication, compassion and hard work.”

Baptist Anderson Sponsors Walk for Diabetes

Baptist Anderson sponsored the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi’s Walk for Diabetes to support children and adults living with the disease. Several team members participated in the walk in Meridian on Sunday, Oct. 12.

Baptist Participates in Mid-South Heart Walk

Baptist participated in the American Heart Association Mid-South Heart Walk on Sunday, Oct. 26 at Shelby Farms Park. The Heart Walk helps to enhance CPR training accessibility and increase funding for research.

Union City High School Club Visits Baptist Union City 

The Tornado Spark Club, formerly called the Key Club, visited Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City. Students handed out packs of EXTRA chewing gum to team members with a note that read, “Thank you so much for going the EXTRA mile in caring for our community.”

Several Baptist Union City team members spoke with students, sharing leadership guidance and information about health care careers, including CEO and Administrator Skipper Bondurant and Director of Pastoral Care Michael Dennison.
