Baptist Memorial Health Care and cityCURRENT hosted a free community reception with Sarah Wells, a former Olympian, maternal health care advocate and star of “The Amazing Race Canada,” on Sept. 17 at Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women. Wells also served as keynote speaker at the cityCURRENT Signature Speaker Series on Sept. 18.
Wells spoke about the importance of maternal health, how she overcame adversity, the significance of adaptability and how to transform challenges into opportunities. She is driven by a deep commitment to understanding what truly fuels human performance and has dedicated more than 10 years to uncovering the core elements of excellence and helping others embody them in their daily lives.
“Sarah Wells challenged us to rethink what’s possible and inspired us to pursue excellence in our own lives, work and community,” said Dr. Lou Arrindell, neonatologist with Baptist Women’s Hospital and the Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital. “She believes that when you dare to break the blueprint, chase crazy ideas and focus on doing the small things exceptionally well, excellence becomes contagious. It not only elevates your life but the lives of those around you.”
