Baptist Anderson Supports Cancer Patients With Canvases for Cancer
On Thursday, Oct. 9, Baptist Anderson held its annual Canvases for Cancer fundraiser, raising $36,000 to support top-priority projects and educational initiatives that enhance the experience for Baptist Cancer Center-Anderson patients. The fun-filled evening featured a virtual art auction with 38 pieces of beautiful artwork donated by local artists, as well as live music and delicious food.
MBMC Educates Middle Schoolers on Dangers of Vaping at STEM Goes Red
Mississippi Baptist Medical Center collaborated with the American Heart Association and local businesses to host a STEM Goes Red event for 120 Jackson Public School female middle school students at the Mississippi Children’s Museum on Monday, Sept. 29. MBMC team members shared the dangers of vaping with an emphasis on how it affects the heart, lungs and brain. The educational sessions concluded with students donning personal protective equipment for group photos.
NEA Baptist Hosts Fishing Rodeo on United Way Day of Caring
On Saturday, Sept. 27, NEA Baptist hosted men and women from Focus Inc. for a fishing rodeo as part of the United Way Day of Caring. Focus Inc. is a nonprofit that serves individuals with developmental disabilities in Northeast Arkansas. The fishing rodeo came together thanks to the dedication and expertise of 25 NEA Baptist team members who offered their time to create the fun event featuring fishing and dancing.
NEA Baptist Honors Children at ShareHope Walk of Remembrance and Hope
NEA Baptist held its ShareHope Walk of Remembrance and Hope on Sunday, Sept. 28 for families to remember and honor their children gone too soon. Held each fall, the event offers an opportunity for families to participate in a memorial service and a walk around the campus together as one family.
