The cityCURRENT signature speaker series event featuring the Rev. Nontombi Naomi Tutu takes place on Friday, Sept. 23. The event brings together business and community leaders who are focused on making a difference in the Mid-South and beyond. Hosted by Baptist Memorial Health Care, this hybrid event is free to attend virtually or in person. Registration is required, and seating is limited.
The Rev. Tutu is an educator, human rights activist, ordained minister and daughter of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. She will share her story and talk about the impacts of the pandemic and cultural influences affecting us today. The Rev. Tutu will offer hope and recommendations for how we can bring our community together to learn from and celebrate our differences, moving toward healing and prosperity.
