Foundry’s CSO recognized Baptist Technology Services (BTS) with its prestigious CSO Award for the cybersecurity initiative “Risk Rated, Ranked, Remediated: A Strategic Security Transformation.” The initiative turned passive security monitoring into active threat reduction, achieving a remarkable 77% reduction in enterprise vulnerability risk.
The CSO Awards recognize organizations for security projects and initiatives demonstrating outstanding business value and thought leadership.
Baptist’s project created healthy competition between hospital sites through real-time risk dashboards, automated patching for more than 200 applications and prioritized remediation based on a standard risk-based model. This strategic approach not only dramatically improved Baptist’s cybersecurity posture, but it also created a replicable model for all of Baptist’s hospitals, demonstrating how collaborative, data-driven security initiatives can effectively protect critical patient information systems while fostering organizational accountability.
“Baptist Technology Services is truly deserving of this recognition for its innovative work in enhancing Baptist’s cybersecurity,” said Tom Barnett, Baptist’s chief information and digital officer. “It is an honor to work alongside such a dedicated and talented team.”
