Soon, you’ll have an opportunity to help make Baptist better by providing feedback on the team member engagement survey. On Monday morning, you’ll receive an email from Press Ganey on behalf of Baptist. It’s your invitation to take the team member engagement survey. You need just a few minutes to complete it, but the positive impact can last for years.
We value your responses from the survey and use them to help make Baptist a better, more engaged place to work. Your feedback from past surveys has assisted us with making positive changes.
In the past year, we achieved our lowest voluntary turnover rates in more than 10 years for both total team member and nursing turnover. We also implemented market-driven salary adjustments and supported multiple educational assistance programs. With more than 400 active Baptist Management System initiatives across the system, we’re also working to foster teamwork and collaboration.
We hosted more than 40 in-person recruitment events to attract top talent and strengthened our workforce by hiring more than 6,300 external and internal team members, including more than 2,100 nurses and 685 new graduate nurses.
Baptist awarded $2.2 million in BestHealth incentives with 97% of team members completing a biometric screening and 92% completing an annual wellness visit. We’ve continued our diabetes management program, which offers $0 copay for medication and supplies when program criteria are met, with an enrollment of more than 800 team members. We also launched new BestHealth programs to support team members with blood pressure management and financial wellbeing — and optimized several existing programs, such as tobacco cessation.
We continued our investments in Skillsoft Percipio Career and Professional Skills Development, which had more than 10,000 course completions and more than 2,000 active users in the last year. Baptist also deployed a CareerCare course to help team members explore skills and interests, create actionable career development plans and gain awareness about high-demand jobs at Baptist.
While we’re proud of these changes, there’s more work to do, and we need your help. Your survey responses are strictly confidential. We will only see combined results that aren’t attributed to any single team member. We plan to use the survey results to make changes that will benefit you.
