The Memphis Grizzlies recognized 10 Baptist Cancer Center patients during the Breast Cancer Awareness Night game on Oct. 7. The patients, who are breast cancer survivors, and their guests met with players and enjoyed a full game-day experience, including a private suite, gifts and food.
The day before the game, Jasper Float Spa & Wellness Center in downtown Memphis hosted the breast cancer survivors and pampered them with facials, chair massages, mocktails and a visit from the mother and grandmother of Grizzlies player GG Jackson.
“The Grizzlies host Breast Cancer Awareness Night each year to recognize 10 local survivors for their courage and strength,” said Jamal Boddie, Memphis Grizzlies director of community engagement. “It’s important to use our platform to raise awareness and encourage Grizzlies fans to recognize symptoms and seek early care.”
