Dr. David T. Conner, chief of staff and facility medical director at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton, and Kristie Peggins, DNP, assistant professor teaching in the doctoral nursing program at Baptist Health Sciences University, were honorees at the Curtis Givens’ Power 30 gala held recently at The Peabody Memphis.
Curtis Givens, founder of CGI Entertainment, hosts the annual event to celebrate business owners for their philanthropic success and their contributions to help shape their community.
Dr. Conner, who specializes in emergency medicine, is the CEO of Conner Capital, LLC and The David T. Conner Medical Group, PLLC. He is also senior pastor of New Life – The Way Church in Memphis. He has impacted his community by providing shadow opportunities for future medical students, as well as guiding and inspiring them to pursue their dreams. His recent initiative, MD to CEO, focuses on empowering doctors to transition from medical practice to influential leadership positions within the field.
Kristie is certified family and board certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner and owner of Green Medical and Consulting, LLC, located in Hernando, Mississippi. She is also an advisory board member at Paideia Preparatory Academy, where she introduces preschoolers to the medical field with dissection of various water and land animals.
