More than 120 community members attended “Heart Talk,” a free educational luncheon hosted by NEA Baptist. Centered around heart health, the Feb. 26 event held at Southwest Church of Christ featured a panel discussion with two NEA Baptist Cardiology Clinic physicians.
Dr. Lena Awar, an interventional cardiologist, and Dr. Oreoluwa Oladiran, a cardiac electrophysiologist, discussed atrial fibrillation, risk factors for heart disease and tips to live a heart-healthy lifestyle.
The event ended with audience members participating in a question-and-answer session, which addressed several heart health topics.
