One of Baptist’s newest team members found her passion for fitness in the swimming pool. As a collegiate swimmer who began competing at an early age, Lia Lansky, the new system director of wellbeing, has held tight to her lifelong pursuit and philosophy about fitness.
“Wellness is self-empowerment and a lifestyle of well-being creates a positive attitude toward a connection between the mind and body.” She believes strongly in helping inspire and empower individuals through knowledge to find their best self.
“I thrive on seeing previous patients and clients who have taken my advice to achieve their healthy lifestyle goals.” Her aim at Baptist is now different. “If together we can help inspire team members to adopt healthy lifestyle changes, our message of awareness will have been accomplished.”
Lia returns home to Memphis after years in Arizona where she held multiple positions as a fitness director and exercise physiologist for more than 15 years. She held positions at Camelback Village Health and Racquet Club in Phoenix; The Spa at Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, Arizona; and Honor Health Hospital/Cancer Rehab in the Phoenix area.
Stay tuned for more information about what Lia will be doing to help promote wellness throughout the Baptist system.
