BMG’s Laveil Rucker to Speak at July Preaching Series

Laveil Rucker, senior chaplain for Baptist Medical Group-Palliative Care at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, will be the featured speaker for the Rev. Jimmy Terry Preaching Series on Thursday, July 16 at noon in Garrett Auditorium. The auditorium is located at 6027 Walnut Grove Road on Baptist Memphis’ campus.

Rucker has a Master of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves as assistant pastor of St. James Word of Faith Ministry in Blytheville, Arkansas. He has also served in the U.S. Air Force and Army National Guard and as a senior chaplain at a prison in Arkansas. Before becoming a chaplain, Rucker worked for Nucor Steel. He has been married to his wife April for more than 20 years and they share six children.
