An enthusiastic throng of Baptist team members woke up early on Saturday, Oct. 27 to attend the 2018 Komen Memphis Race for the Cure. Baptist President and CEO Jason Little was on hand to present Baptist’s donation to the Race, which raised more than half a million dollars.
Every year, the Susan G. Komen Foundation provides about $200,000 for several Baptist Memorial hospitals to provide grant-funded mammograms at no charge to qualified uninsured or under-insured women in their communities. This year alone, hospital team members diagnosed 8 women with cancer between April and August through this program.
