BestHealth participated in the 2025 Mid-South Go Red for Women Luncheon on Friday, Sept. 12 at Hilton Memphis. The event, attended by nearly 500 guests, is part of Go Red for Women, the American Heart Association’s signature women’s initiative dedicated to raising awareness of cardiovascular disease as the leading cause of death in women.

The Go Red for Women movement empowers women to take charge of their heart health, and addresses critical gaps in research, education and care. Lia Lansky, chief wellbeing officer for BestHealth, and Kristy Gay, Baptist’s chief experience officer, participated in the event and were recognized by the American Heart Association as past Women of Impact honorees. Amber Paxton, wellbeing specialist for BestHealth, also provided education at the booth.

BestHealth’s booth, themed “What does having a healthy heart mean to you,” gave attendees the opportunity to share their stories and gain education on heart health. Participants wrote their responses on heart-shaped sticky notes and placed them on a board. There were many wonderful responses, including, “Having a healthy heart allows me to share the love of God with others.”
