25 Days, 1,500 Patients: Baptist Crittenden’s First Month

From the day Baptist Crittenden opened, a steady stream of patients has come to the hospital seeking treatment for a variety of injuries. In its first 25 days, hospital staff treated 1,507 patients, including 1,444 in its emergency department. The ER team treated everything from cardiac arrest and broken bones to bronchitis and sepsis, and 90% of those patients were treated in house; they did not need to be transferred to another facility.
