No one wants to talk about the possibility of living with a serious illness.
However, there is an easy tool that helps you create a common sense and easy-to-understand plan for living well with serious illness. The plan, known as Five Wishes, includes specifics about how you want to be cared for and most importantly, lets your family knows your wishes, which can ease their stress and avoid unnecessary family tensions.
Our speaker will be Jeri L. Ashley, system director for life planning/palliative medicine services at Baptist. She is a certified advanced oncology clinical nurse specialist.
