Our speaker, Paige E. Marcantel, is a native Memphian who received her master’s degree in social work from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. A licensed clinical social worker, she began her career at Baptist as a grief counselor at the Kemmons Wilson Family Center for Good Grief. In her role as director and family consultant at the newly opened Universal Parenting Place at Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, Paige and her staff provide free counseling and support groups to assist parents with a wide range of family-related concerns, including post-partum depression; children’s behavioral issues; blended families; coping with divorce and much more.
For this seminar, Paige will help parents understand and effectively manage concerns related to children going back to school, including balancing schoolwork and extracurricular activities; healthy friendships and bullying; and how to help if your child is struggling in school.
