Our speaker, Dr. John Bridges, is the pharmacy director at Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women and has been a pharmacist at Baptist for 37 years. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education in biology and chemistry. Dr. Bridges has provided educational seminars in a variety of settings, including cardiac rehab, diabetes care and pain management.
Dr. Bridges will explain the causes of diabetes, list the most frequent consequences of diabetes, examine the treatment options, and discuss common side effects of diabetes medications.
