Baptist Memorial Health Care will host a free seminar titled “Drama-free Discipline” on Thursday, Aug. 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library at 3030 Poplar Ave. in Meeting Room A.
Parenting Coach and Director of the Universal Parenting Place at Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women Paige Marcantel will lead this interactive seminar. She will discuss how children’s brains develop at various ages and how this affects their response to discipline. She also will recommend proven strategies that parents can implement at every stage of development to help their children cooperate and make smart decisions in the future.
This free event is part of Baptist Memorial Health Care’s Healthy Living Speaker Series, which is held at Central Library on the fourth Thursday of each month.
