Baptist University is starting their first Graduate Nursing Program for the post BSN to DNP – Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. This program is for nurses interested in the acute care nurse practitioner role in the Adult-Gerontology population, which includes adolescents ages 12 and all adult stages.
The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree is considered the terminal degree for advanced practice. The program will be offered full time and will take approximately 3 years to complete.
Upon completion of the DNP degree, students will be prepared to take the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification exam.
The first cohort of students to begin this program of study is targeted for January, 2018.
