We Will Never Forget Them

On Wednesday, we began our quarterly Baptist Leadership Development Intensive (where our managers, directors and hospital and system leadership hear updates on our performance and hear from leadership experts) with a tribute to Christina Davis and Brownie Luckett, the two Mississippi Baptist Medical Center team members we lost about week and a half ago.

Baptist Vice President of Government Relations Keith Norman led the remembrance, which included a prayer and reflections on what made Brownie and Christina so special. Keith also announced that the Baptist Foundation would be helping to cover part of Christina’s and Brownie’s funeral costs, and we’re also making a donation to the Center for Violence Prevention, which is dedicated to meeting the needs of victims of interpersonal violence. As you may know, the incident that claimed Brownie’s and Christina’s lives stemmed from a domestic dispute.

We wanted to honor these team members in a meaningful way, and through these donations, we’re keeping Brownie’s and Christina’s memories alive. They will always live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them. And now, they will also touch the lives of those who may not know how special they were, but who need the love and compassion Christina and Brownie gave freely.
