Join a Global Generosity Movement

The creators of GivingTuesday call it a “global generosity movement,” and it’s tough to disagree. Since beginning in 2012, it has inspired hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity. It has meant so much to so many people, including those our foundations have helped.

This year’s Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation GivingTuesday campaign – which happens on Dec. 3 – will support the Baptist Cancer Center by providing funds and resources for research, patient needs not covered by insurance, medication assistance and transportation for patients who need help getting to treatments and follow-up visits. The Foundation is asking for donations of $20.19 or whatever you can give. To donate, visit the Foundation’s website, bmhgiving.org. You can also check with your entity for other opportunities to help others.

Through its Amazon Smile program, you can let Amazon do the giving if you plan to buy holiday gifts on that site. Just shop on smile.amazon.com and designate the Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation as the organization to receive Amazon’s donation. Learn more by clicking here.

No matter what you decide to do, I hope this and every holiday season is special and meaningful for you. Your generous spirit, compassion and empathy make Baptist great. I’m so proud of all you do to help the less fortunate, not just during the holidays, but all year long.

How are you celebrating the holidays this year? Tell me by email, tweeting me @jason_m_little or finding me on LinkedIn.
