For more than 40 years, Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation has been changing the lives of people living in the Mid-South. With your generous support, we’ve fostered a foundation for caring that creates a positive impact each day. Before our annual Above and Beyond Giving Campaign starts, I want to tell you more about how Baptist Foundation has helped the communities we serve and our team members.
Baptist Foundation made much possible in 2023, including providing more than 1,600 rides for Baptist Cancer Center patients needing transportation assistance and 8,580 free counseling sessions at Baptist Centers for Good Grief. Baptist Reynolds Hospice House also served nearly 200 patients, with many receiving financial assistance.
With your support, Baptist Foundation helped 165 Baptist team members throughout the system who received emergency assistance in 2023. Together, we’ve also supported professional development and education. Baptist Health Sciences University awarded 183 scholarships to students, and the Friends of Nursing Fund helped nearly 30 nurses gain certifications and funded 25 nursing education conferences, workshops and review courses.
Baptist Foundation also helped 212 Baptist Memorial Hospital patients in the Memphis area and more than 40 Baptist Cancer Center patients who needed financial assistance for medication, home medical devices, transportation and other necessities.
Baptist Foundation supports our mission of healing, preaching and teaching in many ways throughout the year. It provides funding for hospital and community wellness initiatives, equipment for hospitals and assistance for the homeless through our free clinic, Baptist Operation Outreach.

Team members at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital and Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, please note that these hospitals will host their own foundation campaigns, and you will have an opportunity to support them at that time.
