Memphis-Area Business Raises Funds for Centers for Good Grief

MEMPopS, a dessert shop that sells hand-crafted ice pops, is raising money to benefit the Baptist Centers for Good Grief.

All the money collected in its community tip jars this month will be donated to the centers, which provide a safe environment for grieving children, teens and adults to explore and express their feelings related to the death of a loved one and to learn to thrive in a world without that special person.

Each month, MEMPopS selects a local nonprofit to receive the tips collected at its three stores, located in East Memphis, Crosstown and Collierville. Customers typically donate $1,200 to $2,000 a month to the tip jars. For more information, visit mempops.com.

Baptist has three Centers for Good Grief—one in Memphis, Tennessee; one in Collierville, Tennessee; and one in Jonesboro, Arkansas. If you know of any other stores that have community tip jars, please contact Melissa Surles in the Baptist Foundation so she can nominate the Baptist Centers for Good Grief for more opportunities.
