Vizient Recognizes Three Baptist Memorial Hospitals as 2025 Top Performers
Vizient presented Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi with the 2025 Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD, Quality Leadership Award for being a Top Performer in the large, specialized complex care medical center cohort. Vizient also recognized Baptist Memorial Hospital-Booneville and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Crittenden as Top Performers in the small community hospital cohort.
The Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD, Quality Leadership Award honors participating health care organizations in seven cohorts through the Vizient Quality and Accountability Study, which measures performance on the quality of patient care in six domains: safety, mortality, effectiveness, efficiency, patient centeredness and variation in care.
The study factors in measures from the Vizient Clinical Data Base and includes performance data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Healthcare Safety Network.
