Baptist Booneville and Baptist Union City both earned a five-star rating in the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings for 2022. Only 429 hospitals nationwide were given a rating of five stars.
This is the second year in a row that Baptist Booneville was awarded five stars. The hospital is also one of only two in Mississippi to gain the recognition this year. Baptist Union City is one of only five hospitals in Tennessee to earn five stars from CMS.
The CMS Hospital Compare website includes all ratings. The 2022 Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings use 47 of the measures CMS publicly reports on Care Compare and separates them into five groups: Mortality, Safety of Care, Readmission, Patient Experience, and Timely and Effective Care.
