As we begin Year 2 of our BestHealth wellbeing program, I am truly amazed and humbled by the abundant success stories in only a year. I have witnessed firsthand transformations not only in body, but in mind and spirit, as well. We are so very lucky to have received a grant from our very own Baptist Foundation to be able to offer team members so many programs to help you achieve the goals you have set for yourself.
BestHealth has launched quite a few programs this past year and we aren’t stopping yet! I am most amazed by our GoHealthy! weight management program and its success. The total weight lost across the system was 4,105 pounds! Congrats to those who participated and to our wellbeing specialists for their motivation and leadership.
I am ecstatic to announce BestHealth will partner with Morrison’s this fall to launch Pop-up Teaching Kitchens. Think cooking class but so much better because it will be led by both a chef and a registered dietitian. The best part…totally free to Baptist employees!
According to Apple, the trend in 2018 was self-care, and it expects the trend to continue this year. I certainly see the culture changing at Baptist; team members are realizing this is not a luxury or an indulgence, it is a necessity. We are so fortunate the leadership at Baptist supports us holistically and wants us to lead healthy, satisfying lives. Self-care can help prevent chronic diseases, help manage stress, and live energetically and happily. Wellbeing is a personal journey, and I applaud you for taking steps to better yourself physically, emotionally and financially.
Please feel free to reach out to me personally to share any success that you have had with BestHealth. Whether it is big or small, I want to hear it!
Best,
