Spooky, holiday fun for families

A few spooky students turned out on Oct. 29. Baptist Women’s Hospital hosted a Family Fun Fall Festival for exceptional needs students from Houston, Riverdale and Collierville schools. The Festival fun included numerous games, pumpkin painting, limbo, a cake walk and much more.

Baptist Women’s Hospital and Houston High School partnered to build a work study program for exceptional needs students. On Thursdays, students come and use their social skills and learned tasks by providing light cleaning in the cafeteria and public hospital areas. Others sell goods from a candy cart. Since this partnership began, a part-time position for one of the graduates is  being created.
