When it comes to finding a way to connect with a patient, Marcus Stevens found it.
Baptist Tipton’s most recent Service First Champion, who works in the physical therapy department, caught co-worker Deborah Michael’s attention. “Marcus saw a special-needs patient and found a way to have a conversation while working with this patient. The young man finished his therapy and when he returned to the waiting room, he couldn’t wait to tell his mom about the sports he and Marcus had discussed. He also wanted to be sure to get to his next appointment by reminding his mom of when it was.”
Marcus is also known as helpful and personable with all his patients. Deborah, a rehab services coordinator at Baptist Tipton, added,“I just believe Marcus represents Baptist in a positive way, and that is what really matters.”
