Thanks to a “Fan Drive” made possible by the combined efforts of Baptist Golden Triangle team members, the Lowndes County United Way, and Helping Hands, many grateful Lowndes County residents won’t have to choose between cooling their homes or buying medicine or food.
Baptist Golden Triangle team members raised more than $1,700 and collected 17 new box fans. The cash will be used to purchase additional fans for distribution to Lowndes County residents. Baptist Golden Triangle community relations coordinator Donna Grant coordinated the project, which involved selling surplus and new hospital promotional items and inventory samples.
