Pastor David Lawrence will be the featured speaker at the Rev. Jimmy Terry Preaching Series event on Thursday, Nov. 18 at noon at Garrett Auditorium on the Baptist Memphis campus. A native of Leeds, Alabama, Pastor Lawrence has been with Lucy Baptist Church in Millington since 2005. He previously served as pastor in churches in Alabama and Middle Tennessee.
Pastor Lawrence is a graduate of the University of Mobile and Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. He professed faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior in his childhood and acknowledged a call to vocational ministry in high school. Pastor Lawrence and his wife, Karen, have three sons and three grandchildren.
