Baptist Carroll County held a service in April to dedicate its new walking trail, which was made possible thanks to the diligent efforts of retired Baptist team member Nina Smothers and the City of Huntingdon. The Baptist Carroll County Walking Trail is available to team members, patients and their families, and the community.
Shay Smith with Baptist Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Outpatient Physical Therapy in Huntingdon proposed a plan for the walking trail to help encourage and inspire others. She suggested adding plaques along the trail with messages to minister to the mind, body and spirit.
It’s hoped that the eight plaques, now in place, will not only serve as reminders for calming the mind and taking care of the body, but also for helping to foster the spiritual growth of those using the trail.
“What a blessing to have the support of our leadership as we pursue projects that bring glory to Jesus Christ,” said Shay.
