The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) named Phil Ayers, manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, a Distinguished Preceptor.
Nominees for the award are evaluated based on their contribution to experiential education and commitment to service. Phil, who is a board-certified nutrition support pharmacist, has served as preceptor for several pharmacy students from nine schools of pharmacy.
He is a fellow of the Mississippi Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. He is past president of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN).
