Following recent renovations, Milla’s House, part of Baptist Centers for Good Grief, now offers an additional counseling room and group room, as well as a new outdoor space, Elle’s Garden.
The changes to Milla’s House will allow for more individual counseling and hosting of grief groups. Elle’s Garden will support clients in finding healing in nature during their sessions.
Milla’s House is named in memory of Milla Gieselmann, the 6-year-old daughter of Memphis couple Frazer and Dana Gieselmann. Milla died from Batten disease in 2016. Her sister, Elle, also died from the disease in 2019 at age 7. Elle’s Garden is named in her memory.
Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation provided funds for the Milla’s House renovations, while the Home Depot Foundation donated outdoor furniture for Elle’s Garden.
