Meet the 2025 New Year Babies at Baptist Memorial Hospitals

Baptist Women’s Hospital presented parents Erin and Carson Gordon with a gift to celebrate their son Cole being the first baby born at the hospital in 2025.

Baptist Memorial hospitals welcomed New Year babies with special gift baskets containing items for newborn care. Keep reading to learn which hospital greeted a baby boy just a few minutes into New Year’s Day, and discover more about all of Baptist’s first babies born in 2025!

Baptist Women’s Hospital

Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women welcomed the first baby born in 2025 in the Baptist system. Erin and Carson Gordon met their son Cole Franklin Gordon at the hospital at 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1. Cole weighed 9 pounds, 12.8 ounces and measured 21.5 inches long. Cole has a 6-year-old sister who couldn’t wait to meet him. The hospital gifted the family an infant car seat and a diaper bag filled with skin care products, diapers and infant and mom care items.

Mississippi Baptist Medical Center

Humberto and Lauren Pelaez greeted their son Micah Emiliano Pelaez at 1:07 a.m. on Jan. 1 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. He weighed 7 pounds, 2.3 ounces and measured 19.7 inches long. Dr. Lindsay Jerome with The Woman’s Clinic delivered Micah.

Baptist Anderson

Kourtnie welcomed her daughter Emorie Hope at 3:15 a.m. on Jan. 1 at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center. She weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce and measured 20.5 inches long.

 

Baptist Golden Triangle

Teirra Wynn and Tenorio Lucas welcomed their daughter Navye Lucas at 11:28 a.m. on Jan. 1 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. She weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 19 inches long. She will be welcomed home by her 13-year-old brother. Marissa Gandy, RN on the Mother/Baby unit, presented the parents with a gift basket of baby care essentials, courtesy of the hospital’s Marketing department.

Baptist Union City

Madison Cash and Hunter Hagye greeted their son Holden Lee Hagye at 12:44 p.m. on Jan. 1 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City. He weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 20.5 inches long. Dr. Robert Armada with Baptist Medical Group-The Women’s Health Center of Union City delivered Holden. The hospital presented the family with a wagon full of gifts.

NEA Baptist

Devon Eppes and Aaliyah Stanfill welcomed their son Harden Ryker Eppes on Jan. 1 at 1:41 p.m. at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds and measured 21 inches long.

 

Baptist DeSoto

Sophia Guerin and Michael Cass greeted their son Gawain Solanus Cass at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto at 2:59 p.m. on Jan. 1. He weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces and measured 20.5 inches long. Baptist DeSoto presented the couple with a baby bathtub full of baby items.

Baptist Tipton

Franchessa Mason and Davon Broadnex welcomed their son Noah Emor Broadnex at 7:36 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton. He weighed 8 pounds, 1.3 ounces and measured 20.5 inches long. Hospital volunteers provided the parents with a birthday basket stocked with treats from the gift shop.

Baptist North Mississippi

Kristin Newton greeted her son Charles Maverick Newton at 8:09 a.m. on Jan. 2 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. He weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces. The hospital presented the parents with baby gifts, including a Diaper Genie, wipe warmer and sleep sack.
