Mississippi Baptist Medical Center and Boldt Real Estate celebrated the opening of a new medical office building with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 27. The 100,000-square-foot building, located at 1026 Baptist Circle in Madison, represents an estimated $35 million investment in medical infrastructure. It will house offices for general and specialty medical care.
Jackson Eye Associates, with 34,000 square feet, and Mississippi Retina Eye Associates, with 20,000 square feet, are the first two tenants in the building.
“We’re excited to celebrate the opening of a new medical office building in Madison,” said Bobbie Ware, CEO and administrator of Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. “With this addition to the medical community, we can expand access to primary care and medical specialties in Central Mississippi, which are vital needs for the area.”
Construction on the medical office building began in November 2022. MBMC is also planning to open an ambulatory surgery center and will begin construction on a 40-bed rehab hospital on the campus in fall 2024.
