Baptist Memorial Health Care has named Mac Flynt administrator/CEO of OCH Regional Medical Center. Flynt has been the administrator/CEO of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Attala and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Yazoo since April 2023. He will take the top leadership position for OCH on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
“Mac Flynt is a remarkable leader and the ideal person to lead OCH Regional Medical Center’s transition to a Baptist Memorial Hospital,” said James Grantham, VP/administrator of Mississippi Operations for Baptist Memorial Health Care. “His track record as a leader, commitment to excellence and experience advancing health care in Central Mississippi and the Delta uniquely position him for success in this role.”
Baptist and the Oktibbeha County board of supervisors signed a definitive purchase agreement for OCH in August 2025. Baptist agreed to a $55 million purchase price along with committing to other investments, as well as offering employment to all staff in good standing, to help transform the hospital and ensure access to sustainable and high-quality health care in the area.
“It is a great honor to join OCH Regional Medical Center’s leadership team at such an exciting time,” said Flynt. “I look forward to meeting the talented staff and collaborating with them to advance exceptional health care for the community. Together, we will make a lasting difference in the lives and health of Oktibbeha County and surrounding areas.”
Flynt has served in administrative leadership roles with Baptist in Central Mississippi since 2020. Prior to his role as CEO/administrator of Baptist Attala and Baptist Yazoo, he was chief administrative officer of the hospitals from 2022 to 2023 and administrative director of Mississippi Baptist Medical Center.
Flynt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management in 2015 from Mississippi State University, and a Master of Healthcare Administration in 2024 from Louisianna State University Shreveport.
