Baptist Memorial Hospital-Carroll County welcomed youth and adult leadership groups as part of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce’s Healthcare Day on Wednesday, Jan. 21. The groups enjoyed lunch and guided tours of hospital departments, including Radiology, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy and Pulmonary Rehab.
“These leadership groups got a firsthand look at the scope of services and career paths available in Carroll County,” said Sarah Pitcher, Baptist Carroll County marketing and physician relations manager. “Many were surprised by how much care is provided locally and appreciated the opportunity to hear directly from our staff. It was a great day of engagement and a meaningful way to connect future and current community leaders and provide insight on the role Baptist plays in local health care.”
Before arriving at the hospital, the groups met at the Carroll County Civic Center for health care service overviews from Dr. David Hall of Baptist Medical Group-Carroll County General Surgery Clinic and Dr. Andrew Rice of Baptist Interventional Pain Management Clinic.
