June Preaching Series Event to Feature Second Presbyterian Church Senior Pastor

Dr. George Robertson, senior pastor at Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, will be the featured speaker for the Rev. Jimmy Terry Preaching Series on Thursday, June 15, at noon at Garrett Auditorium on the Baptist Memphis campus.

Dr. Robertson earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Historical and Theological Studies from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He has Master in Divinity and Master in Theology degrees from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, and a bachelor’s degree from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. Dr. Robertson serves as a council member for The Gospel Coalition.

He previously served as senior pastor for First Presbyterian Church in Augusta, Georgia, and as pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church in St. Louis. Dr. Robertson was also a lecturer and adjunct professor at Covenant Theological Seminary. He is married to Jackie, and they have one son, three daughters and two sons-in-law.
