L. Joseph Rosas III, Ph.D., chaplain at Baptist Memphis, will be the featured speaker at the Rev. Jimmy Terry Preaching Series event on Thursday, June 16 at noon at the Garrett Auditorium.
Dr. Rosas received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Union University, and Master of Divinity, Master of Theology and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He has served as pastor at Union Avenue Baptist Church, Crievewood Baptist Church in Nashville and University Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. He also served as transitional interim pastor at Bethel Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Tennessee and Lascassas Baptist Church in Lascassas, Tennessee, near Murfreesboro.
Dr. Rosas was an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Union University and an adjunct professor at the university. He was also an adjunct professor at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Belmont University, Anderson University in South Carolina, and Middle Tennessee State University.
He recently completed four units of clinical training under the auspices of The College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy.
