What can team members expect from the virtual classes?
Melissa Wilkes Donahue:
Here’s the schedule of virtual classes held each Tuesday in February:
Week 1 – Feb. 1: Self-Care is NOT Selfish!
Week 2 – Feb. 8: Stress <
Week 3 – Feb. 15: Zzzz’s
Week 4 – Feb. 22: Inhale/Exhale
Participants will receive the tools needed to start the process of healing and taking better care of themselves in 2022. As employees in the health care industry, we oftentimes give advice to patients on what they should be doing to care for themselves but flop in the follow-through ourselves.
Lia Lansky:
These classes will provide intentional time to be used as an opportunity for you to focus on yourself. We will be offering self-care stimulating material to accompany the principles discussed in class.
How will these classes benefit team members?
Lia Lansky:
Focusing on yourself, even if it is just for a short period of time every day, is so very important. We know everyone’s schedules are full, so we have done our best to compress a lot of great information in each segment.
Melissa Wilkes Donahue:
To receive the most benefit from this series, participants are encouraged to attend each class to receive a well-rounded view of each very important aspect of emotional health and wellbeing. The partnership between BestHealth and CONCERN EAP is one that makes perfect sense; our shared mission is to take care of the body, mind and soul.
Who is leading the classes?
Melissa Wilkes Donahue:
CONCERN EAP will be teaching these sessions. CONCERN’s team of licensed, experienced counselors and clinical social workers help employees sort through issues and work toward viable solutions to get them back on track personally and professionally.
Session facilitators Donna Simpson, LPC, and Priscilla Williams, LPC, have extensive backgrounds in both counseling and conducting groups.

Is there anything else either of you would like to add?
Lia Lansky:
All Baptist team members have been so brilliant taking care of others during this pandemic, and we want to ensure that you are on the right track to take care of yourself.
Melissa Wilkes Donahue:
We encourage you to take 30 minutes out of your week to get the love and attention you deserve. We know your whole body will thank you for it later!
