Cookie Monster was among the honored guests who helped celebrate the start of a partnership between Sesame Street in Communities, an early-childhood initiative, and the Memphis-based ACE Awareness Foundation, which administers the Universal Parenting Place at Baptist Women’s Hospital.
The partnership will provide free parenting resources and tools to help improve the early lives of area children. The ACE Awareness Foundation will use those resources in programming at their four Universal Parenting Places in Memphis, where parents can receive professional counseling, emotional support and parenting information.
One of the first centers of its kind in the country, the Universal Parenting Place at the Baptist Women’s Hospital opened in 2015 and is designed to offer parents information, tools and support in an open, judgment-free atmosphere.
