Dr. Michael J. Moss, the newly elected pastor of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville, Tennessee, will be the featured speaker at the Rev. Jimmy Terry Preaching Series event on Thursday, Aug. 19 at 12 p.m. at Garrett Auditorium. The event will mark the fourth anniversary of the Rev. Jimmy Terry Preaching Series.
Dr. Moss is Rev. Jimmy Terry’s successor at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. Before becoming pastor at the church, he served at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church, both located in Clarksville. A native of Paducah, Kentucky, Dr. Moss accepted Christ as Lord and Savior at an early age at Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church in Paducah, under the late Dr. Wardelle Harvey Sr.
Dr. Moss graduated cum laude with an Associate of Divinity, and magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in ministry studies from Baptist College of Florida. He also earned a Master of Divinity from Atlantic Coast Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Andersonville Seminary. Dr. Moss and his wife Trina have five children and six grandchildren.
