The Graduate Medical Education (GME) department at Baptist participated in the West Junior High School career fair in Oakland, Tennessee, on Friday, March 8 . Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto Family Medicine Program residents enjoyed speaking with students and discussing pathways that lead to becoming licensed physicians.
“The GME focus is to encourage and empower young learners for success. The department is developing more initiatives to share with middle school students,” said Lakisha Bah-Stewart, CHW, MPA, system manager of programs and projects and medical education DEI champion for Baptist Memorial Medical Education.
